The Rose of Jericho (Anastatica hierochuntica), which grows in the western Asian desert, is a cruciferous plant that grows, blossoms, and bears fruit during the short rains. It is also known as Egyptian herbal medicine. The overall shape is rounded about 30 cm and the roots and stems are easily cut and rolled toward the wind when the wind blows. Seeds are located inside the rounded stems. They`re like a ball to prevent heat damage, and they literally `resurrect` when they meet water. Jericho`s rose can survive for decades without water.
